It will be the first Grand Slam in 24 years not to feature either Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer or Serena Williams with all three withdrawing due to injury showcasing a potential changing of the guard. For Djokovic though, a calendar slam remains in his sights and regaining the title he has not won since 2018. It is up to the chasing pack to stop him.

US Open has been first played already back in 1881 on the grasscourt. The tournament was played also on the clay for three years from 1975 – 1977. Since 1978, it is played on the hardcourt. It is also the last Grand Slam in the calendar since 1987.
